Joyce Muse
Prior to joining DEC in 1984, Joyce was Production Manager at IDG Communications/Peterborough. In that position, she supervised a team of designers and art directors for six monthly technology magazines. She was also responsible for software packaging, print production and photography.
Before joining Rainbow Press as a sales representative, Joyce worked for Universal Press and was responsible for establishing a Western Massachusetts sales presence for the metro Boston-based printer.
He served as group editor-in-chief of A+ Publishing (a division of IDG Communications) for seven years. In 1988, he led the conversion process for inCider/A+ and PC Games from traditional publishing to QuarkXpress-based desktop publishing.
He has also held senior editor posts with Macworld and Byte magazines. In 1992, Dan won the Software Publishers Association Journalism Recognition award. He has also served for several years as a judge for Discover Magazine's Technological Innovations Awards.
Prior to purchasing Rainbow Press, Dan was senior producer of Masslive.com, The Springfield Union News and Sunday Republican's Web site. He has also been a contributing writer to Newsweek.com and has served as Web site consultant to the Basketball Hall of Fame.
In addition to his role as president of Rainbow Press, Dan is currently executive editor at Jupitermedia, where he is responsible for editorial operations for internet.com's Small Business Channel and EarthWeb's Networking and Communications Channel.
